Chalk up another one from the ever-brilliant Secretary of Homeland Insecurity.
U.S. readies "reasonable" ID card rules after debate. WASHINGTON (Reuters: Top News) - U.S. officials said they would unveil on Friday reasonable and inexpensive national requirements to implement an identification-card program critics call a costly invasion of privacy.

Frank Sinatra, Jr. was born on this day in 1944. I'll celebrate with a listen to "That Face" his excellent album from 2006.

I did some soul searching, and in the end there were too many issues of
principle on which she was willing to compromise. Her commitment to
practicality over principle made it hard to be enthusiastic about her
candidacy.
