God Bless You, Senator



John Edwards ended his quest for the Presidency this afternoon. He made the announcement from New Orleans' 9th Ward, where his candidacy began.

He has consistently championed the cause of the 12 million Americans who live in poverty. He once said "how we respond to the plain fact that millions of our own people are living in squalor and despair says everything about our Party and the country we believe in."

His presence in the campaign will be missed.
