Between now and November 2008 we’ll be seeing and hearing our share of campaign ads. It’s been my pleasure to voice a few of these in my career, both for individual candidates and for community initiatives. I am particular about the ones I accept, that they stand the test of veracity and don’t offend my own sense of the issues.

One of the more interesting and enjoyable things I’ve voiced was this spot for U.S. Senate Candidate Josh Lanier. It’s a wry poke at the incumbent, Saxby Chamliss, echoing an infamous commercial he ran against Max Cleland six years ago. My challenge was to match - in tone, timing, inflection and timbre - the voice in the original spot.

I have a lot of respect for Josh (and he would get my vote if I lived in Georgia) but regardless of political leanings I hope you’ll agree that the spot is powerful and well-produced.
